The Milwaukee Fire Bell Club exists " To serve as a common ground for Milwaukee area Fire Buffs, active in promoting the general welfare of Fire Departments, allied emergency services, their officers and members."
The Milwaukee Fire Bell Club was formed in 1947 under the guidance of then Milwaukee Fire Department Chief Engineer Edward Wischer. The club membership is limited to 40 active members. Club social meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month except July, August and November. Meetings are held at various locations and reservations are required. The Milwaukee Fire Bell Club operates an Emergnecy Support Unit used to supply refreshments and food service to Fire Fighters and Law Enforcement officers at the scene of major incidents, training sessions and civic functions.
